NY - Not for the Faint of Heart

*Technical note: while we are away I am blogging in the ipad. This is why the photos are cut off on the side (I think). If I wasn't so spent at the end of each day I might try and fix it but... Yeah, NO.

Back to the blog!

You know it's vacation when you wake up with two snuggly kiddos in your bed at the lazy hour of 8:30.

This is what happens when you give the 4 year-old your phone so you can doze for a few extra minutes.

I have about 423 variations of this picture.

It was another hot one here in the sweaty Big Apple so we laid low and kept cool so the parents kids wouldn't get cranky.

While Alice was napping I took Liliane for her first mani-pedi!

Thanks 7th ave Spa Nails! You ladies were so sweet.

Next stop: air conditioning and education all for the low price of $7.50 each!

Yeah, we touched some snakes. Alice declined.

Neighbourhood artwork.

I have totally seen this in the movies! And people were actually doing it!

We had an early dinner at a closeby restaurant that my brother recommended. Family friendly, not too pricey and delicious, he said,

Score little bro! It was DELICIOUS.

This is Alice's spag and meatball from the kid menu. She inhaled that polpetta in about 2 minutes.

I ordered another meatball and they brought it in 30 seconds flat. No charge. Fuhgeddaboudit.

Stéphane's zucchini pizza. Taking that ubiquitous summer vegetable to new heights.

This is my pizza. It's called the Will To Live special: grilled peaches, speck and fresh mozzarella. I DIED. Ironically.
Once we polished off every morsel and hosed Alice down, we walked down the block for ice-cream.

Yes, I ate this. Dark chocolate brownie, honeycomb ice cream, salted caramel sauce, homemade whipped cream and organic, homemade rainbow sprinkles. I did not finish it but HELLO it was amazing.

And that, my friends, was our Tuesday. Anybody else pet a python today?

Man, you really know how to New York. I think I speak for many of us when I say we would like to be your children. Way to live, you lot!
