Actually, it's my kids.
While I have loved introducing them to your many charms,
And there are MANY,
the truth is, I just can't keep up with you right now.
You don't really have time for me anymore.
Your amazing shopping, trendy restaurants, not to mention the lights of Broadway, are just painful reminders of the life we once had.
And frankly, I can't afford you right now.

I think the time has come to spend a little time away from each other.
But I think we both know I won't be able to stay away for long.
See you again soon.
When the kiddos are a little older and can pay for their own tchotchkes.

I was glad I was there at the beginning. And I'll try to fill your place when I come at Christmas...
I didn't know chalchkis was spelled that way...I thought it was spelled the way I just totally flubbed it :: LOL!
