Birthday Bozo

Hi!  I am 38 now!  Man, do I EVER feel different today! (-said no one, ever.)

What IS different today is my jewelry box thanks to my husband and his excellent taste in bling!

Look at my pretty purple necklace.  I am 38 now so I am DIGNIFIED.

Oooh, it's so SPARKLY! (That's the 5 year old me that has never really gone away)

And THIS BRACELET!  So SHIIIIINNY.  I love it.

I also got the new Pioneer Woman cookbook.  Get ready for future foodshame stories my friends.

I had a great day filled with the following (in no particular order):

-sleeping in until 8
-perfect iced coffee
-patio lunch
-trashy magazine
-actual hard copy of a newspaper
-pink nailpolish
-rosé
-tzatziki
-cheesecake
-Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
-birthday emails
-birthday phonecalls
-so many Facebook messages, I am seriously weepy

You may not know this but I was actually born at the stroke of midnight between July 3 and 4.  My parents chose July 3 as my birthday because a) frankly, all the hard work happened on the 3rd and b) it's the same day as my Uncle Orin and Aunt Betty's wedding anniversary!  So Happy Anniversary O&B!  Hope your camping weekend was good even though it is surely raining out there!

All this to say that I fully intend to keep celebrating myself tomorrow and by celebrating I mean buying myself some cupcakes and possibly sharing them with my family. Dorky photos to follow.

xo

AWESOME! I can't believe that you are 38!! Seriously! Definitely would have guessed early 30's. :o) Love your sparkly and your day sounds lovely... and I don't think that I've ever heard of anyone born on the stroke of midnight! That's cool! Happy Birthday once again!

Actually it was more because we didn't want your birthday to be lost in all the 4th of July hoopla - but your reasons were okay, too.

Glad to hear you had a good day and also glad that we got to have an early birthday bash while you were here! (And thanks for leaving me the last piece of lemon cake...)
