Stormy Wednesday

We had an excellent night out yesterday, babysitter anxiety aside. Liliane was asleep when I left and dozed off on Sophie while she was feeding her a couple of hours later. I'm sure she didn't even notice we were gone! The film was so-so (yummy lead actors and their sweaty pecs couldn't make up for a predictable, cliché-ridden, "should have been a TV soap opera" script) but the party afterwards was brilliant. We reunited with our friend and premiere pal Brigitte (now a celebrity in her own right after her two-week stint on "Tous pour un") to enjoy beverages and bouchés (I flipped for the mini burgers) on the stage of the theatre. It was nice to catch up with a few people I hadn't seen for a while and soak up the decidedly non-kid environment! Even the DJ was good. We got home around 11 and Liliane seemed happy to see us. According to Sophie she spent a pretty chill evening. Thank you for taking such good care of her!

Big storms are moving all over the East right now and we woke up in the night to the sound of ice pellets and lots of wind. This morning brought icy rain, more wind and now it's snowing. No going out for us, but that's OK. It's pajama day in my house today!

Liliane has been wriggling around in her sleep lately - this is how I found her this morning. She has lamb chops on the brain...

She's all about touchy-feely right now, too. Here she is with her light-up Winnie the Pooh that we use all the time to check if she's sleeping and/or breathing...

This is the few from my kitchen window out into the back. Notice our downstairs neighbours' lawnchairs buried in the snow...

My dragonfly lights are always on in the kitchen to remind me that summer will indeed come again.

A smile and some yummy baby toes to end the post:

Enjoy springtime out West and hang in there fellow Easterners!
