Ode to the Yellow Sleeper

The time has come to retire the yellow sleeper that Jennifer passed on to me. Liliane's toes are starting to poke through the bottom and I feel guilty making her wear it... It's weird, but every time she gets too big for something, I get all sentimental before throwing it in the Rubbermaid with all the other stuff. She's just so cute and cuddly in it, I guess I'm sort of sad that the yellow sleeper wearing days are over. Blame it on the hormones :)






So it's March 8th (Happy International Women's Day ladies!) and we here in Montréal are living through what seems like the worst winter storm yet. This picture out of my front window doesn't really show how much the wind is howling and how thick the snow is actually blowing.


We are expecting some friends for dinner tonight so I have to get the chicken in the oven for roasting! Delicious flourless chocolate cake is cooling on the counter, Liliane is hanging out in her swing and Stéphane is vaccuuming. All is right with the world.

This is Liliane after she fell asleep last night beside me while we were playing with her activity cube and watching "What Not to Wear."
