Lili Meets Bambi

Sorry for being away for so long but it's been so crazy hot and humid around here that this is the first time in a week that I've been able to sit in front of the computer for more than five minutes without the threat of melting into a steaming, irritable puddle. To reward you all for your patience, I have copious photos of our first family trip to the zoo AND a video of Liliane coming face to face with a deer:

It's not actually a zoo per se, it's called the Ecomuseum where you can enjoy looking at animals (like at the zoo) but without feeling guilty maybe? Check out their website, it's a pretty cool place.

We perused the flora and fauna while sweating up a storm in the great outdoors, meandering along a stroller-friendly path:

This is her new stroller by the way. We love it. It's super light, it folds easily AND it has a shoulder strap. This was also Liliane's first day wearing shorts! And sunblock!

There were falcons and eagles:

Why do I always think of Sam the Muppet eagle when I see one of these majestic creatures? Sad really.)

As you've seen already there were a few deer...

Some raccoons...

And river otters!

Liliane got into the cariboo, I think because it was RIGHT beside us and sorta big:

We had such a great day. The first of many!
