Saving the environment

We just wanted to share our happiness with the new environmentally friendly, super long-lasting lightbulbs. Stéphane bought four of them for about $10 this weekend and they are supposed to last 9 years! The light is basically the same AND it uses 70% less energy and therefore gives off hardly any heat. Yay for paying less to Québec Hydro!

Not much else to report. Busy day at work for both of us. Hopefully my pal Julie can squeeze me in for a massage (ha ha, get it!?) before we leave on Saturday because my shoulders seem to be permanently stuck up around my ears...

Weather prediction for Saturday in Los Angeles: 21 degrees. Perfect! Only four more sleeps :)

we put one of those in our stove hood light because it stays on all the time. WE used to have to replace it every week. So far this has lasted a few weeks.

Make sure that when they do eventually die you dispose of them properly at a facility that can handle mercury, otherwise all the good you've done saving electricity is for nothing

I didn't realize your trip is this weekend already! I didn't say "bye" to you on Sunday. :(

I hope you guys have a great time -- and don't bake in the sun too much. The cake will get runny! ;)

*HUGS* I'll pray you have a safe trip. :)

How responsible! Creating a better world for your little-one-to-be!

(Stephane looks a little like a superhero in that pic - LIGHT MAN!!)
